Prague overview tour
Duration: approx. 4hrs + 30mins free for coffee break (can be tailored to your schedule and interests)
Price: from 4.400 CZK for 2 people + admission if selected

The historic center of Prague stretches along both banks of the Vltava River. It is common for visitors to divide their sightseeing over two days. The two parts of the city are connected by the famous medieval Charles Bridge, decorated with Baroque statues.
On the left bank, Prague Castle dominates the skyline together with the Hradčany district, which takes its name from the castle (Hrad / a castle). Below the castle lies the picturesque Lesser Town (Malá Strana). On the right bank is the historic heart of the city, centered around Old Town Square with its famous astronomical clock. The right bank has always been the livelier and busier part of Prague.
In the 14th century, the Czech king and Holy Roman Emperor Charles IV expanded this area by founding a new district called the New Town. The name has remained to this day, even though it was “new” in the Middle Ages. It is true that during the 19th and 20th centuries the New Town was rebuilt more extensively than the rest of the historic center, which is why it offers not only historic monuments but also fine examples of Art Nouveau and avant-garde architecture.
The tour can therefore be adapted in both time and theme to suit each visitor. The most popular option consists of two four-hour tours, with an additional free half-hour break for coffee, tea, or a light snack. During this time, visitors can either walk through all four historic districts at a faster pace to gain an overall impression of the city’s size and richness, or choose a slower pace and devote one four-hour tour to each riverbank.

Prague is unique for its exceptionally well-preserved Jewish heritage, including historic synagogues and the Old Jewish Cemetery, which survived the hardships of World War II. This tour offers an insight into the rich history, spirituality, and cultural legacy of Prague’s Jewish community.
During the walk, we will visit the Old-New Synagogue, the oldest active synagogue in Europe, and the Old Jewish Cemetery, founded in the 15th century and home to the grave of the renowned Rabbi Maharal, also known as Rabbi Löw. The tour also includes the Pinkas Synagogue, a deeply moving memorial to the local Jewish victims of the Holocaust, whose names cover the interior walls.
As the main Jewish landmarks are located within a compact area, the tour is easy and not physically demanding. Optionally, the itinerary can be extended to include the Jerusalem Synagogue, built in the early 20th century in a striking Moorish Revival style.

This walk focuses on the architecture of the late 19th century, a period when Prague underwent major urban redevelopment. Thanks to this transformation, many beautiful Art Nouveau buildings were constructed.
Just before World War I, a unique architectural style emerged in Prague – Czech Cubism – which is more commonly associated with painting, but here it was translated into architecture. After the war, a distinctive local style called Rondocubism developed.
Many of these buildings are enhanced with fascinating sculptural decorations and mosaics, making the city a true open-air gallery of innovative design.
WWII and Life during Communism
Between Two Totalitarian Regimes
Duration: approx. 3 hrs (can be adapted to your time and interest)
Price: from 3.300 CZK (for 2 people)
Can be tailored to your schedule and interests
(The tour can be extended to include a visit to the Museum of Communism and legendary Café.)
This private tour offers an authentic journey through Czech modern history. The walk will take you to places and stories connected with two totalitarian regimes that fundamentally shaped the fate of Czechoslovakia and its people.
You will learn about the heroism and sacrifices of the Czechoslovak resistance during the Nazi occupation, as well as the harsh reality of life under the communist regime. We will visit the unique crypt of the Church of Saints Cyril and Methodius – the National Memorial to the Heroes of the Heydrich Terror, where the parachutists hid after the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich and where one of the most powerful stories in Czech history unfolded.
The tour highlights the historical continuity of resistance against oppression – from the student protests against the Nazi occupation in 1939 to the student march in November 1989, violently suppressed by the police, which became the catalyst for the Velvet Revolution and the fall of the communist regime in the country.
You will also become familiar with the fascinating life story of Václav Havel – a key figure of the Czech underground, a political prisoner, an internationally acclaimed playwright, and the first democratic president after the fall of communism. By arrangement, this part of the tour can also take place in a café frequently visited by Havel and other intellectuals and artists.
I will be happy to offer you not only professional historical insight, but also personal and family memories connected to these events.

Terezín Memorial / WWII Camp & Litoměřice
Duration: 6 hours
Price: 8.000 CZK for 1 to 6 people with a private driver and private guide + admission to Memorial

The tour of the Terezín Memorial includes a visit to the so-called Small Fortress, which from 1940 served as a prison of the Prague Gestapo for opponents of the Nazi régime and the town itself. In 1941, the latter was transformed into a Jewish ghetto to which Jews from the former Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia and from other European countries were deported.
The tour also features an exhibition dedicated to the artistic work of imprisoned professional artists, whose activities were to a limited extent tolerated as part of Nazi propaganda. Visitors not only gain insight into the tragic history of the town during the WWII, but also have the opportunity to admire the unique military architecture of this late-18th-century fortress town.
The tour may be complemented by a short visit to the nearby town of Litoměřice (just a 10-minute drive away), known for its picturesque square lined with Renaissance buildings.
