Discovery of Mozart and Salieri piece of music considered lost for more than 200 years..
Now on display for the next two weeks (till March 11, 2016) in Czech Museum of Music where it was found.
You can see it together with so called Mozart’s piano. Mozart played this piano during his first visit to Prague in 1787.
The composition Per la Ricuperata Salute di Offelia was created in 1785 on the occasion of the recuperation of a popular English singer working in Vienna, Nancy Storace.
She was a prized interpreter of Salieri’s and Mozart’s work. De Ponte’s poem tells the story of the singer’s vocal indisposition, which lasted several months.
